The Project
A venue shaped around a single bamboo gesture.
Lokalé is a hospitality venue in Pererenan, one of Canggu's fastest-growing neighbourhoods. The building itself — a sculptural bamboo structure with a shell-form roof — was designed by the project's architect. Our brief began the moment you stepped inside it, and the moment you stepped back out.
Bali Best Design picked the project up from there. Interior design, custom furniture, and the outdoor decks and gardens were carried as one continuous process — so the joinery, the loose pieces, and the landscape work were resolved together rather than handed between vendors.

The Approach
Every space was resolved on screen first.
Before construction began, each room existed as a fully rendered visual — materials, proportions, lighting, and furniture placement agreed in advance. It takes the guesswork out of a build: the client sees the finished venue before committing, and our workshop builds to a resolved drawing rather than an approximation.

From Render to Reality
The Setting
The bamboo shell — designed by the project's architect — defines Lokalé's silhouette. Our interior and outdoor work picks up its language: timber, rattan, and woven texture, carried through every space we shaped.
The Reception
A rattan sunburst wall behind a marble-topped desk — a custom centrepiece built in our own workshop to the rendered design.
The Lounge
Woven wall discs, layered seating, and a calm material palette — a space designed to feel settled from the first day it opened.
The Terrace
Open-air seating designed for daily hospitality use — materials chosen to hold up to sun, rain, and salt air without losing their warmth.
